Volunteers play an important role at Valley of the Moon Children's Home by working directly with the children or in other ways that support the mission of the Children's Home.

Volunteers who work with the children provide for their educational needs by reading to them, helping with homework, playing educational games, or helping in the on-site classroom. They also help implement enhancement programs that expose children to new experiences through music, gardening, art, exercise activities, and fieldtrips. Other volunteers help the home through sorting donations, planning or participating in fundraising events, making quilts for the children, and organizing special outings or parties for the children.
